PALM BEACH CARDINALS
MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL (Class-A)
JUPITER HAMMERHEADS
ROGER DEAN STADIUM in Jupiter is home to both the
PALM BEACH CARDINALS and the JUPITER HAMMERHEADS
of the Florida State League, Class-A Minor League
Baseball Organization(s). It is also the Spring Training home
of both the ST. LOUIS CARDINALS and the FLORIDA MARLINS
of the National League of Major League Baseball.

Seating capacity is 6,600, with an additional spot for
approximately 200 people in the grass berm area in right field
in front of the picnic area, which also holds an additional
200 fans as well, bringing the total capacity to about 7,000.

Miami Dolphins Official Website

Miami Dolphins

Member of the National Football League (NFL) and
competes in the East Division of the American Football
Conference. All home games are played at Dolphin Stadium
(seating capacity of 76,500), located in North Miami-Dade
County within the Miami Gardens area. Dolphin Stadium is
62 miles south of Mangonia Park.

The Dolphins have played in five (5) Super Bowl
Championship games, winning two, 1972 and 1973. The
1972 Dolphins squad remains the only team in NFL history
to start and finish an entire regular and post-season game
schedule undefeated, with a “perfect” record of 17-0.

Florida Marlins

Member of Major League Baseball (MLB) and competes
in the East Division of the National League. All home games
are played at Dolphin Stadium (seating capacity of 38,560),
located in North Miami-Dade County within Miami Gardens.
Dolphin Stadium is 62 miles south of Mangonia Park.

The Marlins hold spring training in northern Palm Beach
County at Roger Dean Stadium in the Town of Jupiter.
This same facility is shared by the St. Louis Cardinals
Major League Baseball Club of the Central Division of
the National League. Roger Dean Stadium is 11.5 miles
north of Mangonia Park, and is home to two professional
Minor League Baseball teams who compete in the South
Division of the Florida State League: Jupiter Hammerheads
(Florida Marlins Class-A affiliate) and Palm Beach Cardinals
(St. Louis Cardinals Class-A affiliate).

The Marlins have won two World Series Championship Titles
since their inaugural season of 1993. Florida defeated the
Cleveland Indians in the 1997 World Series, 4 games to 3, and
beat the New York Yankees in the 2003 World Series,
4 games to 2.

A new 37,000 seat ballpark is scheduled to be built and
completed in the “Lil’ Havana” section of downtown Miami
by the start of the 2011 season. The new stadium will be on
the site of where the former Orange Bowl Stadium once stood
from 1936-2007, and will be equipped with a retractable
roof to prevent weather postponements (i.e., rain,
lightning, etc). The team will be renamed the “Miami Marlins”
prior to the start of spring training in 2011. The new stadium
location will be 72.5 miles south of Mangonia Park.

Miami Heat

Member of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and
competes in the East Division of the Atlantic Conference.
All home games are played at American Airlines Arena
(seating capacity of 19,600), located in downtown Miami
by the waterfront of Biscayne Bay. The “Triple-A”, as it is so
nicknamed by the local and national media, is 73 miles south
of Mangonia Park.

The Heat were the NBA Champions in 2005.

Florida Panthers

Member of the National Hockey League (NHL) and competes
in the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference.
All home games are played at BankAtlantic Center
(seating capacity of 19,250), located in northwestern Broward
County near the City of Sunrise (approx 14 miles west of
Fort Lauderdale). The BankAtlantic Center is 57 miles south
of Mangonia Park.

The Panthers won the Eastern Conference Championship
in 1996 before competing in the Stanley Cup, where they
were defeated by the Colorado Avalanche, 4 games to 0.

Florida Atlantic University

FAU’s main campus is located 30.5 miles
south of Mangonia Park in the City of
Boca Raton. The Owls are a member of
the National Collegiate Athletic
Association (NCAA) and compete in the
Sun Belt Conference.

FAU is the defending 2007 “New Orleans
Bowl” Champions in Football. For more

UM’s main campus is 79 miles south of
Mangonia Park in the City Coral Gables.
The Hurricanes are a member of the
National Collegiate Athletic Association
(NCAA) and compete in the Atlantic Coast
Conference (ACC).

The Hurricanes have won 21
National Championship Titles in the following
team sports: football (5), baseball (4), polo (4),
women’s golf (5), men’s crew (1), and women’s

FIU’s main campus is 83.5 miles south
of Mangonia Park in central-west
Miami-Dade County, 10.5 miles west of
downtown Miami. The Golden Panthers
are a member of the National Collegiate
Athletic Association (NCAA) and compete
in the Sun Belt Conference. Their main
