Town Manager

Lee Leffingwell became the 5th Town Manager in the History
of Mangonia Park when she was hired in 2006, upon previously
being employed as our part-time building inspector since 2004.
She is the former Town Manager of 14 years in the Town of
Glen Ridge, Florida (Palm Beach County).

Ms. Leffingwell was very instrumental in assisting the town
with the administrative paperwork, documents and the filing
of same in the aftermath of Hurricane(s) Frances and Jean
in 2004, and Wilma in 2005. Her actions and work concerning such
allowed our town to receive proper and accurate reimbursement
of federal funds as allotted for various expenses put-out by our town.

Involved in municipal government since 1984, Ms. Leffingwell
has worked in the capacity of a building or code enforcement
official or administrator in 17 of the 38 municipalities in
Palm Beach County, and served in the same position for the
County of Okeechobee, Florida.

Lee was born and raised in West Palm Beach, graduated from
Lake Worth High School, attended and studied at Palm Beach
Community College in Lake Worth (FL), and has a B.S. degree in
Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton (FL).

She has three children and five grandchildren.

Says Leffingwell, “My motto is to leave a place you worked at in
better condition than when you found it upon being hired
”.

Sherry Albury was hired by our town in February of 1998
as a Deputy Town Clerk. She was promoted to Town Clerk
in October of 2001, and is a Certified Municipal Clerk in
the State of Florida. Sherry previously worked as a Deputy
Clerk with both the Alachua County Government Office
from 1986-88, and the Palm Beach County Government
Office from 1989-95.

Mrs. Albury is a graduate of Wewahitchka (we-wah-hitch-ka)
High School located in the City of Wewahitchka (FL)

31 miles due east of Panama City.

Sherry attended the University of Florida in Gainesville (FL) from
1984-87, is married with two (2) children, one son who is attending
UF, and a daughter who is attending Florida A&M in Tallahassee (FL),
and is a member of the Florida Association of City Clerks.

Angela Hanna was hired as our Deputy Town Clerk in February
of 2008, after spending the previous five (5) years in the
construction and building industry as a “Finer Points Coordinator”
and “Specialty Service Rep”. Prior to working in construction,
Angela was an insurance underwriter and presently holds an
insurance license with the State of Florida.

Mrs. Hanna is a graduate of Suncoast High School in Riviera
Beach (FL), attended Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona
Beach (FL) from 1994-96, is married with two (2) children, and
is a member of the Florida Association of City Clerks.
